Most new and used cars come with parking sensors these days, but it’s always worth double-checking – some cars you’d expect to have them don’t.
But we’ve saved you the hassle, as all the cars on this list definitely come with rear parking sensors – and a few are available with front parking sensors and/or a reversing camera as well. So you don’t have to fear tight car parks ever again!
Dacia Duster
Trim levels with rear parking sensors: Essential (from May 2023), Comfort, Prestige, Techroad, Expression, Extreme, Journey
The Dacia Duster makes total sense for cost-conscious SUV buyers. It has the space, ride height and rugged feel you’re after, but it’s much less expensive than other crossovers. You get rear parking sensors on most Duster models, along with the must-haves like air conditioning and cruise control.

Skoda Karoq
Trim levels with rear parking sensors: SE, SE Drive, SE Technology, SE L, Sportline, Edition, Scout
One of our favourite family SUVs, the Skoda Karoq combines impressive practicality with fuel efficiency and enough creature comforts to make long journeys easy peasy. It’s even something you might enjoy driving. Reversing sensors are fitted as standard on the Karoq, which is good as a reversing camera is only included on a select few trim levels.

Volkswagen Polo

The Volkswagen Polo is a simply brilliant supermini. It’s compact and easy to park, yet practical and grown-up feeling. Not to mention fuel efficient and well equipped. All mid-range and high-end Polos come with parking sensors – usually front and rear – but you’ll find some entry-level models with them, too.

Renault Clio

A real French fancy, the Renault Clio has buckets of style and the substance to match. It has one of the best interiors of any supermini, plus economical engines – including a hybrid that’s capable of over 60mpg – and a big boot. The vast majority of Clio trim levels include parking sensors as standard, along with a host of extra kit you’ll appreciate.

Peugeot 208
Trim levels with rear parking sensors: Active Premium, Active Premium Plus, Allure, Allure Premium, Allure Premium Plus, GT, GT-Line, GT Premium, Signature, Tech Edition
From one dashing French supermini to another, the Peugeot 208 is a top choice in this part of the market. It too has economical engines and a premium-feeling interior, but the Peugeot also offers a fully electric e-208 version if you want to swap from pump to plug. The vast majority of trim levels include reverse parking sensors, and many get a camera, too.

Kia Sportage

Another one of our favourite midsize SUVs, the Kia Sportage is a do-it-all family transporter. It’s one of the most spacious cars in its class, with a big boot and lots of room for passengers to stretch out. Four-wheel drive and hybrid powertrains are available, and the trim levels listed refer to both the current Sportage (pictured) and the great-value last-generation car – of which you’ll find many for sale at Motorpoint, still with the balance of Kia’s seven-year warranty.

BMW 1 Series
Trim levels with rear parking sensors: SE, Sport, M Sport, M Sport Pro, M Sport Shadow Edition, 128ti, M135i
Like almost every BMW in the last few years, the 1 Series comes with parking sensors as standard – even though it’s the entry-level Beemer. That’ll stop you scratching the paintwork on your premium hatch, and keep it looking its BMW-y best. The 1 Series also has the slick handling we’ve come to expect from the German manufacturer, as well as improved practicality to bring it in line with the Mercedes A-Class and Audi A3.

MG 4
Trim levels with rear parking sensors: SE, Trophy, XPower
The MG 4 comes as standard with reversing sensors – as well as a huge haul of active driver assistance tech including blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist. Behind its if-Lamborghini-made-a-hatchback styling, the MG 4 is a really impressive electric car. Even models with the smaller battery manage nearly 220 miles of range, or you can add 100 miles to that with the Extended Range version.

While the Audi A4 is designed to spend its life on fast A-roads and motorways, it’s reassuring to know that parking sensors are fitted as standard for when you have to venture into town.
