Fancy headlights and a new front end feature for the updated Audi Q7, which hits UK roads in May
The imperious Audi Q7 has been refreshed for 2024, with an updated design and additional tech.
It now boasts Matrix LED headlights as standard. These give full-beam headlight power at night without blinding other drivers.
Audi’s latest Q7 remains a seven-seat luxury SUV that competes with the BMW X5 and Volvo XC90. This is the car’s second facelift, after a large 2020 update that also included a major interior refresh.
2024 Audi Q7 specifications
Order books for the 2024 Q7 open in March, and first UK deliveries are expected to take place in May. Four trim levels are available, including a limited-edition Launch Edition model, all with sporty looks.
First up is S Line, with leather seats that are heated and electrically adjustable in the front, plus adaptive air suspension, a rear-view camera and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster. Pricing for the S Line trim ranges from £66,605 to £69,645.
Black Edition starts at £71,155 and adds a sportier suspension setup, 21-inch matt grey alloy wheels and a gloss black exterior trim package that includes the window surrounds and the Audi badges.
Range-topping Vorsprung has a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and massaging front seats, a head-up display, 22-inch alloys, four-wheel steering, extra leather, upgraded headlights and an upgraded sound system from Bang & Olufsen. Yours from £89,905.
The rapid SQ7 even offers the choice of the top two trim levels. The SQ7 Black Edition starts at £92,420, while the SQ7 Vorsprung is a hefty £111,370.
Styling
It’s at the front where you’re most likely to notice the new changes. There’s a new grille with fresh accents and updated lower air vents. On S Line models, these are colour coded to look more like the SQ7 powerhouse.
The main focus has been on the headlights. You might notice a slightly tweaked shape and a new front light signature which, on Vorsprung models, is digital and can be changed to one of four options. Remember when headlights were just a couple of bulbs?
Matrix LED headlights are now fitted as standard, while Vorsprung gets even fancier HD ones. These get a little blue flash on the headlight cluster because, at speeds over 43mph, you get laser lights that offer a far greater beam range.
Three new metallic colours are available – Sakhir Gold, Chilli Red and Ascari Blue – and there are new alloy wheel designs, with 22-inch rims being the biggest offered. Some of the driver assistance systems have also been given minor upgrades.
