The Vauxhall Mokka Electric lineup has been bolstered by a new Griffin trim level.
Officially the entry-level model, the Griffin packs a lot of equipment to make it excellent value. But, with big alloy wheels and metallic paint, it doesn’t look like an entry-level trim.
All the Mokka’s paint choices – including metallic colours – are offered at no extra cost, meaning a saving of £700. The Griffin also comes with a contrasting black roof, tinted rear windows and silver 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Griffin is based on the standard Design trim, but you also get heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, automatic climate control and keyless start. A reversing camera and rear sensors are also included to take the stress out of parking.
The Mokka Electric Griffin starts from £29,495, reducing the starting price of the Mokka Electric lineup by a huge £7,115. Of course, you can save even more money by choosing a used Mokka Electric for sale at Motorpoint.
Like the rest of the lineup, the Griffin boasts a 50kWh battery and a 136hp electric motor. It’s good for a 209-mile quoted range and, thanks to 100kW fast charging, it can go from 0-80% in half an hour. Recharging from a home wallbox takes 7.5 hours – so you can always wake up to a full battery if you plug in before bed.
Sweetening the deal further is Vauxhall’s offer of a year’s free charging at Tesco stores, equivalent to just under 6,000 free miles.
Orders for the Mokka Electric Griffin model open on 17 April, and first deliveries are scheduled for June 2024.
