Motorpoint has been named one of the best companies to work for in the UK for a seventh successive year.
The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which has a network of stores throughout England, Scotland and Wales, achieved its highest ever ranking in 2021 by Best Companies, finishing eighteenth, in recognition for its high levels of employee engagement over the last 12 months. It was also named the Best Company to Work For in the Automotive Sector – beating the likes of Porsche and Toyota to achieve the top spot.
The Top 100 Company to Work For concept was created over a decade ago by Best Companies to recognise and reward excellence in employee engagement throughout the UK. Every year thousands of small, medium and large companies are measured on the level of engagement among employees, with only those businesses with the highest levels of overall engagement being able to qualify for the Top 100.
The honour comes only a matter of months after Motorpoint was awarded coveted 3 Star accreditation by Best Companies in recognition for its commitment to providing world-class levels of employee engagement to its 800-strong workforce.
Cat Moseley, Chief People Officer at Motorpoint, explained: “I couldn’t be prouder of the whole team at Motorpoint for this achievement. To be in the Top 100 Best Companies once is a huge achievement but to repeat this feat seven years in a row, and achieve our highest ever ranking in the process, is nothing short of phenomenal.
“We have seen our highest levels of engagement in the last 12 months, thanks in part to our focus on supporting each other and maintaining happiness at all times, and we intend to use this platform moving forward to ensure we continue to support one another while evolving and innovating as a team to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers as a business.”
Motorpoint wasn’t only just recognised nationally for its outstanding levels of employee engagement. It was also named the Best Company to Work For in Wales, and finished among the top ten best companies in the East of England, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber and top twenty best companies in the Midlands, North West and Scotland.
