It was big smiles all round for a few lucky youngsters at the recent Posh Women football game when they had the chance to lead Posh Women out on to the pitch ahead of the Posh Women V Leafield Athletic Ladies match on Sunday 19, March.
The 10 young people were chosen as Motorpoint community hero mascot winners following the recent joint Motorpoint Peterborough Women’s Community Hero Mascot competition which ran between 23 January 2023 to 5 February 2023.
Bobby Copping, Women’s General Manager at the Posh said: “It was fantastic to see our chosen mascots at the Posh Women vs Leafield Athletic Ladies match. It was great to run this competition partnership with Motorpoint as part of our local community outreach. It’s good to see some of the outstanding young people from our community get the chance to be our Mascots and we know the team players love it just as much as the young people.”
Jennie Sim, Motorpoint’s Events, Sponsorship and Charity manager said: “We were overwhelmed with the number of nominations for this competition. Local people really got behind it with their nominations. It was fantastic to see Motorpoint Peterborough community mascot heroes join in the match day action and lead the Posh Womens team on to the pitch.”
