What is a CHAdeMO charging?

A somewhat mangled brand name, CHAdeMO stands for Charge de Move and is a type of rapid charging connector for electric vehicles. The connector was developed in Japan and was, at one point, the most viable competitor to CCS 2 charging in Europe. This connector is most commonly found on Nissan Leaf models, as an early pioneer of the EV segment, but is rapidly falling out of favour in Europe and the UK.
