What are alloy wheels?
Alloy wheels are car wheels made of a mix of metals – often including aluminium and magnesium. They weigh less than traditional steel wheels, and alloy wheels don't need flimsy plastic hubcaps to give them an attractive design. Alloy wheels used to be included as standard on high-end cars, but these days you'll find them even on affordable models. Other than looking nicer, alloy wheels are lighter than old-school steel ones, so improve a car's acceleration, braking and handling.
