What are xenon headlights?
Xenon headlights are brighter and longer-lasting than traditional halogen bulbs, and they have a brighter, whiter beam. They were considered an upgrade headlights for high-spec models before LED headlights became commonplace. LEDs are brighter still, but typically need to be replaced as a unit – xenon headlights are still traditional bulbs so are often easier and cheaper to replace. While most new cars use LEDs instead of xenon, you'll still find xenon on a range of nearly new cars, including the last-shape Audi A1 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia.
