What is a full dealer service history (FDSH)?
A full dealer service history (FDSH) means your car has a full record of being regularly serviced by a main dealer since the car was new. Nowadays, most service histories are recorded online, but you may also see evidence of a full dealer service history in the form of a folder of receipts and a fully stamped service book, with an appropriate amount of services for the car's age and mileage.
A full dealer service history specifically implies the car has only been serviced by franchised main dealers – for example, a proper Audi dealer, rather than an independent garage. This suggests that the car has been maintained in a 'money no object' fashion, which usually makes it worth more on the second-hand market than a car without a FDSH.
