What is RWD (rear-wheel drive)?

RWD (rear-wheel drive) is a car that sends engine power to its rear wheels, rather than to the front wheels (FWD) or all four (4WD/AWD). RWD is traditionally a desirable quality in sporty and luxury cars for the handling balance it gives them, although modern chassis engineering means you'd probably only notice any real difference on a race track.
