What is ride quality in a car?
Ride quality is used to describe how well a car's suspension takes the impacts out of potholes and bumps. A car with good ride quality will filter out the harshness from broken road surfaces, although not many modern cars manage to filter out big bumps and smaller, more frequent pattering sensations. Cars with good ride quality are generally described as comfortable, while a car that doesn't soak up impacts quite so well might be described as firm, fidgety or unsettled.
