What is pedestrian detection?

Pedestrian detection is an active safety system in cars. It uses advanced sensors to detect people near the car, and some systems can even trigger the auto emergency braking function if it detects that you're going to collide with a pedestrian. Many modern cars have systems that detect pedestrians and cyclists, and some detect animals in the road as well.
