What is a car's wheelbase?
The wheelbase is the distance between the centre of the front wheel and the centre of the back wheel. It's usually measured in millimetres, and might not mean much to you at first glance. However, it can be useful to compare wheelbases of different cars, as a longer wheelbase usually means more passenger space. Electric cars typically have very long wheelbases compared to their overall length, with a wheel pushed out to each corner to maximise interior room.
