What is parking assist?

Parking assist, sometimes called self-park assistance, is when your car can partially or fully manoeuvre into a parking space for you. Often, you'll have to press a button to turn the system on, which then scans the road ahead for a big enough space to park in. The steering and movement is taken care of, and some systems don't even need you to press the brake or accelerator. Then there's remote parking, which is a step on, and this is where you can direct the car in and out of the space without needing to be in it.
