What is MirrorLink?

MirrorLink is a connectivity standard that allows apps run on a smartphone to be displayed on a car's infotainment system. The system was initially developed by researchers at Nokia, before being backed by a consortium of carmakers and automotive parts suppliers. MirrorLink has been effectively replaced by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for Apple and Android devices respectively, and was officially discontinued towards the end of 2023. If your car supports MirrorLink, you can activate the system using your car's infotainment system and connecting your smartphone either through a cable or via Bluetooth.
