What is a TPMS (tyre-pressure monitoring system)?

TPMS (tyre-pressure monitoring system) is a system that detects when your tyre pressures are lower or higher than they should be. If the wrong pressure is detected, it'll warn the driver to check the pressures and correct if necessary. Most TPMS setups look at tiny differences in your individual wheel speeds to detect when one wheel falls out of line with the rest.
