Used Abarth model range

The Abarth 595 is a pocket-rocket version of the Fiat 500. It has a much louder exhaust, firmer suspension and more power – up to 178bhp, which is a lot in such a small car – and all versions are laugh-out-loud fun and feel much faster than they actually are.

There are several special editions and hardcore versions with carbon-fibre seats and proper race-car parts. The hottest versions are badged as Abarth 695. There are also 595C convertible versions, automatic and manual gearboxes, and some vivid colours to make sure that no-one misses you go by.

FAQs

Piggybacking off the Fiat 500, the Abarth version shares its good and bad aspects. The 500 isn’t the first car that comes to mind when you think of reliable models, so it’s hard to say whether the Abarth 595 and 695 will be dependable. Replacement parts will be more expensive than the standard Fiat 500, especially the branded brake and suspension parts. For peace of mind, take out the Motorpoint Extended Warranty when you buy your new dream car.

No, not yet at least. There are rumours that Abarth is working on a warmed-up version of the electric Fiat 500, though.

Turismo and Competitizione are two of Abarth’s trim levels. Until recently, the Competitizione had more power than the Turismo, plus extra go-faster features like upgraded brakes and a raspier exhaust. The Abarth-tuned 500 has also had a vast selection of special editions, including the racy Esseesse and 70th Anniversario editions, as well as tie-ins with Ferrari plus Monster and Yamaha.

T-Jet is the name of Abarth’s 1.4-litre petrol engine, with the T standing for turbocharged. All versions, regardless of their power output, get this Fiat-sourced engine.
